Kim Kardashian dines at YUAN at Atlantis, The Palm

In the midst of her adventures around the UAE, Kim Kardashian, arguably the world’s most talked about woman, stopped by YUAN, the signature Chinese restaurant, bar and lounge at Atlantis, The Palm last night.

Dressed in a sleek black dress with nude sandals, the global starlet stopped by the restaurant with BFF Carla Dibello and her entourage.

Kim’s visit to YUAN comes just before the hotspot celebrates its first anniversary. Since its launch, YUAN has become a celebrity favourite with the A-Listers, including international supermodel Jourdan Dunn and Fashionista Millie Mackintosh who enjoyed the much talked about cocktails and signature dishes by Executive Chef Jeff Tan, formerly of Hakkasan Mayfair.

Rumoured to be staying at Atlantis, The Palm based on the photos posted on her Instagram account, Kim is in Dubai for the launch of her new Fleur Fatale fragrance.

Atlantis, The Palm is located at the centre of the crescent of The Palm in Dubai. It was recently showcased in the Shah Rukh starrer 'Happy New Year'. 

Opened in 2008, the ocean-themed resort features a variety of marine and entertainment attractions, as well as 17 hectares of waterscape amusement at Aquaventure Waterpark, all within a 46 hectare site. It is home to one of the largest open-air marine habitats in the world, with over 65,000 marine animals in lagoons and displays including The Lost Chambers Aquarium, a maze of underwater corridors and passageways providing a journey through ancient Atlantis. 

Atlantis, The Palm is also known as the culinary destination in the region with a collection of world-renowned restaurants including Nobu and Ronda Locatelli. The resort boasts an impressive collection of luxury boutiques and shops as well as extensive meeting and convention facilities. 

World’s first Bollywood themed park in Dubai

Dubai will soon get a Bollywood-themed park - an entertainment destination that will showcase authentic Indian movie experience in an interactive format.  

Located in Jebel Ali, Bollywood Parks Dubai will host 16 rides and attractions within five movie themed areas featuring content developed in partnership with Mumbai’s major film studios: Bollywood Film Studios, Mumbai Chowk, Hall Of Heroes, Regal Plaza and Rustic Ravine. 

Each zone will capture the kaleidoscope of color, emotion, music and visuals associated with Hindi films. Covering a total of three million square feet, the park will also offer a variety of retail outlets and themed restaurants integrating vibrant elements that are quintessentially Bollywood. 

The experience will kick off at the entrance to the theme park on ‘Bollywood Boulevard’ where an ongoing site-wide live entertainment fixture combining dance performances, character interactions and street theatre will keep guests engaged. Here guests can live, learn, and immerse themselves in the delightful fantasy that they get to experience on the silver screen.

Dubai Parks & Resorts is developing Phase 1 of Dubai Parks & Resorts which comprises three theme parks - motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and LEGOLAND Dubai. It will also feature Riverpark - a grand entrance plaza and Lapita, a themed family hotel. Located in Jebel Ali close to the world class international airports, Phase 1 is set for completion in 2016.  

Moscow worst city for visitors, Mumbai for overall experience: TripAdvisor

It may have a rich history but Moscow has received the unwelcome honor of being voted the worst city in the world for visitors. Travelers planning a break to the Russian capital should expect locals to be unfriendly, hotels to be awful, a scarcity of shops and everything wildly overpriced, says TripAdvisor.

According to its annual 'Cities Survey', which collates the opinions of more than 54,000 travelers on the top 37 urban tourist destinations around the world, Moscow came in last.

Though on the topic of “best overall experience” it only came third-last, the city was second-last for family-friendliness, restaurants and shopping, and rock bottom for helpful locals, taxi services and drivers, value for money and hotels.

Mumbai was voted the worst city for overall experience and came in last on clean streets and ease of getting around.

The survey also ranked the cities that came out top in each category, with Tokyo as the best destination for tourists overall and New York being number two.

London missed out overall, coming 11th, but achieved second place for nightlife and third for shopping, coming behind New York, and Dubai and New York, respectively. London’s worst performance was in value for money – visitors voted it 34th in terms of how far a pound will stretch.

Singapore: Number one for comfort traveling alone and second for taxi service, cleanliness of streets, ease of getting around and family-friendliness
Rome: Topped the list of things to do and culture
Dubai: First for shopping and hotels
