The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board along with Taurus Hospitality & Clubs, Dehradun organised a Harley Davidson Tehri adventure rally with about 40 riders of Harley Owners Group participating in it.
Owners from different states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in the rally.
Dinesh Dhanai, Tourism Minister of Uttarakhand flagged off the rally yesterday from Cross Road Mall, Dehradun. The route of the rally was Dehradun – Rishikesh - Narendranagar- Chamba – Tehri - Dhanaulti – Mussoorie – Dehradun.
Through this rally, the tourism board wants to spread the message that Uttarakhand is a safe destination for all tourists. It is developing new places for adventure tourism to increase employment in the state. In lieu of the same, an Adventure Tourism Festival is being organised on October 9th and 10th, 2014 at the 42-kilometre long Tehri Lake.
